Public Sector Economics

About

Public Sector Economics (PSE) is a double-blind peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute of Public Finance. First published in 1976 under the name of Financijska praksa (ISSN 0350-5669) in Croatian, it came of age in 1995 when it was renamed Financijska teorija i praksa (ISSN 1332-3970). From 2005 to 2010, the journal was published in both Croatian, as Financijska teorija i praksa, and English, as Financial Theory and Practice (ISSN 1846-887X). From 2010 to 2016, Financial Theory and Practice was published only in English. In 2017, it was renamed Public Sector Economics.

PSE is published four times a year: in March, June, September and December.

Acceptance rate: 20% (2023).

There is no submission fee. PSE is co-financed by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia.

PSE follows the best practice in academic publishing and continuously updates its ethical guidelines. We are highly appreciative of the opinions of authors, readers and reviewers on how to improve our journal.

List of reviewers

During the years we have endeavored to attract numerous very good authors, and at the same time to find the most competent reviewers for given areas. All the articles submitted have undergone a double, anonymous peer-reviewing procedure.

In our gratitude to reviewers for their patient performance of a very responsible and frequently unrewarding task and for their efforts to extract the very best from authors’ ideas and approaches to topics, we are publishing a list of all the colleagues who reviewed both published and unpublished articles since 2019.  We are of course grateful also to all reviewers who did the same in the previous forty years since our journal's publication.
